Sabina Mong

Sabina Mong is a passionate outspoken speaker, she has innate potential suited for every challenging situations, with experience of information and very decisive. Her decisiveness and the ability to see future possibilities, and her outgoing personality adds up to make her innovative and industrious in her Career. She articulates confidently on issues she understands and what she can do. She enjoys debates of national interest and argues positively with proposals when standards get compromised in her career and her personal belief system.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Diploma in Secondary School Education. She is a qualified registered Secondary School Trained Teacher and a Public Servant with the Department of Education with a teaching experience of 12 years in various Secondary Schools Coordinating, Teaching and Assessing students learning of Sciences, Personal Development and other related subjects as a Senior Subject Coordinator in those 12 years of her teaching.

Sabina has recently acquired an MBA level Strategic Human Resource Leadership Certificate from Cornell University USA after successful completion of the courses online and she often engages in Skype Seminars on Large Scale Assessments (LSA) with UNESCO/National Education Quality & Monitoring –Asia Pacific (NEQMAP) as a member to Large Scale Assessments & other Career Development Global Organizations.

Her passion, interest and commitment in her career and her spiritual guidance from her church (RMCN) have groomed her to be the Founder and Director of the online Career Talent Management Organization called PNG Career Guide Centre which is a member organization to Regional & Global Organizations. The center is in the process of Designing National Large-Scale Assessments aiming at collecting Data of the performance of All National Education Policies of the Education Department (eg. Curriculum) on the ground.

Sabina is also the Secretary for RMCN’s Education Agency directing Education Services as a social service to the nation by proposing to establish RMCN Provincial Career Development Centers (PCDC) to partner with 22 Provincial Governments to Park and Administer Large Scale Assessments to Career Talent Track ALL Students to full fill Reformation Ministries & Churches Network’s (RMCN) vision to develop & track a person holistically – “building man to build a Godly nation” which is first attitudes & values than intellectual, physical, emotional and social aspects of a person to function holistically upright in All areas. She is also a member to the PNG Christian Professional Network.

Over the last 22 years, she had served the Education Sector as a classroom teacher, a distance students FODE course writer, to a public servant base level curriculum and assessment officer, to a senior curriculum & assessment officer. She served as the Director Research & Innovation for General Education School Curriculum & Assessment for Early Childhood Education Curriculum & Assessment progressively to Secondary Grade 12 and has been advocating on establishing a Central Coordinating Unit – National Quality Education Standards & Monitoring Unit within the office of the Prime Minister & NEC that will connect, link and facilitate all issues affecting Education Policy and Practices that should address Human Resource Development through Curriculum, Assessment, Training, Inspections, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation as KEY NATIONAL EDUCATION STANDARDS through the current Standards Base Education System for Papua New Guinea to stay connected to National Regional and International Education Practices (PNG, Pacific, World).

When serving as the Director Research & Innovation for General Education School Curriculum & Assessment she put together Curriculum & Assessment Innovations and earnestly proposed to the Top Management of the Department of Education since 2016 for further deliberation to establish the Central Coordinating Unit (NCASMU) that will address ALL STANDARDS IN EDUCATION from Policy Review & Formulation to Policy Management Implementation Monitoring & Evaluation of Teaching & Learning of the Outcomes Based Education System and Introducing the Standard Based Education System in the General Education School System with Submissions but got no feedback.

Sabina is well vested with the wealth of knowledge in the current practices of the education system from policy to management and implementation of policies in the areas of Designing and Developing Teacher and Student user friendly Teaching & Learning Resources under Curriculum and Assessment, Assessing and Tracking Students and Teachers Career Pathways aligned to Curriculum Design, HR Career Talent Tracking, Selection & Recruitment as her passion.

She was the technical lead in coordinating the design and development of STEM Curriculum for the National Schools of Excellence under Dr. Clement Waine’s contract with the National Education Department facilitated by GES Division of the National Department of Education.
